Major player in the construction industry seeks a Technical Manager for a high profile project which will be taking full advantage of the technology of offsite manufacturing. In this role, you will be working with the Architects and supply chain, investigating the best solutions in terms of best processes and value for money, potentially setting up a manufacturing facility. The scope of your role will encompass design, project management, supply chain, programming, logistics, QA and compliance.
We are particularly keen to hear from you if you match the following profile:
Technical Manager or Project Manager with a good background in DfMA / offsite construction and a proven success in managing projects
Able to work with large disparate teams and stakeholders (potentially up to 30), all with their own priorities etc, but equally able to work independently
Sufficient technical knowledge to be able to challenge designs in terms of fit for purpose, processes / quality checks, fire and security considerations, value for money
Prior experience in setting up and operating factories and good technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good balance of strength of character (able to hold your position) and interpersonal skills / sensitivity
Qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent in an engineering discipline, and ideally a project management qualification
