Introduction:
As the authority for Building Information Modelling (BIM) this role will drive and support the use of digital information, ensuring compliance with industry standards, Kier policy and meeting client requirements. The Digital Construction Manager will also support the Information Manager role across projects implementing BIM Level 2. This person will report progress and highlight any risk to senior managers to ensure support is given to achieve accelerated adoption of digital construction techniques. Attendance will be required to input to wider group activities, promoting best practice and sharing of knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the completion of BIM Gateway forms across all tenders to fulfil assurance procedures relating to early assessment of design team capability and internal resource considerations.
- Responsible for ensuring Employers Information Requirements and Asset Information Requirements are responded to and delivered across project(s)
- Responsible for ensuring that the BIM Execution Plan has been produced and maintained for the project(s).
- To be responsible for ensuring the use of the common data environment to manage and exchanging information, adhering to the methodology of BS 1192:2007+A2:2016 across project(s).
- To be responsible for the digital information plan/strategies that are implemented for business unit/project and provide feedback to Senior Digital Construction Manager to ensure progress is being made and commitment to such documentation is being observed.
- An effective communicator and able to build positive working relationships, internally/externally across all levels of management
- Experience with IFC and COBie
- Solibri experience
- A collaborative approach, working closely with internal and external teams to get the right result
