Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Location: York
We are seeking a Digital Content Executive to join our skilled marketing team in York.
The Digital Content Executive is responsible for planning, creating, and managing high-quality, engaging content across digital platforms, including social media, websites, and third-party channels. This role ensures brand consistency and messaging alignment across all touchpoints, contributing directly to audience engagement and commercial impact.
Working closely with digital, design, campaign, and broader marketing teams, the role delivers content that supports strategic objectives, enhances user experience, and aligns with campaign and product priorities. A key focus is optimising content for both AI-driven discovery and SEO best practices to maximise reach, visibility, and performance.
The Digital Content Executive maintains content calendars, manages scheduling and delivery, and collaborates with creative teams to produce compelling visual and video assets. The role also involves engaging directly with customers and internal stakeholders, analysing performance metrics to support strategies and ensure the timely execution of campaigns, product launches, and events.
As a Digital Content Executive, you will:
* Plan, create, and manage engaging content across digital channels, including social media, web, and product platforms
* Ensure consistency in messaging and brand identity across all digital touchpoints
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product, business development, and sales) to align content with commercial and campaign objectives
* Plan, schedule, and post engaging content across social channels
* Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of campaigns
* Analyse and report on content performance, providing insights to shape future strategies
* Manage deadlines for campaigns, product launches, and events, delivering high-quality content at pace
* Collaborate with design and video teams to ensure compelling creative assets
* Balance short-term tactical needs with long-term strategic goals.

The initial interview for the role will be done virtually, with a final interview in person at our Head office in York. Candidates will be asked to bring a portfolio of demonstratable work to the interview.
Our ideal candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
* A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
* Digital content experience including social media, case studies, website / news article and copy writing
* Previous experience in a similar content role, with specific experience in paid for social media campaigns
* Knowledge and previous experience of curating content optimised for SEO and AI
* Knowledge of PPC is desirable
* Ability to adapt style to contemporary communications channels
* Expertise in multiple communications channels
* Knowledge of social media management systems
* Full UK driving licence.
