Director of Architecture Job in Fareham, Hampshire

Our client is a successful multidisciplinary practice who has an exciting Director of Architecture job now available. This role would see you taking a lead role in the managing of projects from concept to completion. You will be working closely with the managing director helping sculpt the direction of the business.

The practice, in its few short years, has already made an impact on the local market working from bespoke residential projects to large scale residential developments with some of the UKs leading developers. The business is looking at its next stage in growth and development. Due to this they are seeking a Director of Architecture. Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparing of feasibility and concept layouts for small and large scheme designs
  • Taking a lead in the running of projects from concept to completion
  • Working developing new business opportunities
  • Developing long term client relationships
  • Supporting junior members of the team
  • Working on preparing specifications, proposals, and applications
  • Using AutoCAD on a daily basis
  • Induction and preparation of work for potential partners and contractors
  • looking at technical solutions project issues
  • Attending site.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years UK project experience
  • Experience with residential projects is essential with a deep understanding of the planning and build process
  • Track record of business development within the sector
  • Confident managing client relations
  • Experience in managing projects from concept to completion is essential
  • Skilled in the use of AutoCAD is essential and Adobe and Sketchup experience is desirable
  • Strong technical skill with knowledge of UK building and planning policies
  • Driver's licence
  • You must be in commutable distance of the office.
