Breedon are seeking 2 x Distribution and Sales Coordinators based at our Ethiebeaton office in the Fife and Tayside Region.
As part of the Customer Services Department, you will be responsible for pricing and creating quotes for customers in the company's electronic programme along with providing support to the Team leaders to coordinate a professional and efficient delivery service of products from our Fife and Tayside Quarries and Plants, whilst complying with our legal obligations as regards our operating license.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: -
* Deal with customer delivery requests and liaise with Team Leaders and the Distribution Manager to ensure customer deliveries can be met cost effectively, ensuring efficient working between departments
* Liaise with quarries to ensure customers material is available at the correct times and provide effective communication to customers
* Ensure effective use of transport and ensure all duties undertaken by Company Drivers meet our legal obligations, including managing drivers working hours start times and finish times and liaise with the Transport Manager on all compliance issues, excessive costs for vehicles and any driver or vehicle issues
* Liaise with external Haulier's/Owner Drivers to deliver dry, coated and concrete to all customers and build Haulier relationships to maintain or increase availability at current rates
* Create computer-generated quotes using Excalibur, ensuring that the information such as prices, quantities and material descriptions are accurate, detailed and updated to minimise errors
* Provide administrative support to the Sales Representative and Commercial Manager in the form of customer liaison, quote creation and follow-up and undertake administration of our own Surfacing Solutions Department's prices and material requirements
* Undertake all administration associated with cash sale customers, including the processing of payment electronically
* Liaise with Credit Control to resolve customer queries whilst ensuring customers trade within agreed credit limits
* Act as a first point of contact for customer queries and complaints and retain ownership where appropriate
* Issue Confirmations of Order to ensure that Breedon's Terms and Conditions of sale are in place prior to the delivery of materials
* Communicate effectively with all areas of the operation on a timely, accurate and professional standard, both internally and externally
Working in a fast paced and challenging environment, you will have the ability to make the correct decision in a timely fashion. You must also have the ability to remain positive and think laterally, ensuring company targets are being met and you will be a self-starter who is commercially focused and responds appropriately on your own to improve outcomes and process's and assumes responsibility for your own performance.
You will be an excellent communicator, have good computer skills (Word and Excel) and excellent numerical skills. You will have exceptional customer service skills with a strong work ethic and excellent organisational and planning skills.
You will have the ability to manage competing deadlines by estimating time frames and monitoring own progress; the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues and customers on both a formal and informal level.
You will have a good understanding of Driver's hour's regulations and have the ability to plan and organise the day to day running of vehicles. You will be a team player and be able to build solid relationships with customers.
