Distribution Coordinator

Breedon are currently seeking a Distribution Coordinator to coordinate deliveries of concrete in a busy market. You will be based at Stafford Park in Telford, Shropshire.

The key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Telephone and email contact to and from customers
  • Timely response to customers' enquiries, queries and complaints in an efficient and professional manner
  • Proactive planning and tracking orders to completion
  • Cost effective dispatch planning of all customer orders through active liaison with commercial, operations and transport teams
  • Scheduling and rescheduling orders whilst utilising haulage fleet effectively
  • Compiling and maintaining accurate records as required
  • Communicating effectively with commercial and production teams and also haulage partners
  • Specific support to the pre-planning of major contracts or schemes in terms of production and transport capacity planning
  • Identifying and contributing to managing your own personal development in collaboration with your line manager

    • The key skills required for this role are:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent IT knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure with and be adaptable in a fast-changing environment
  • A good eye for detail with excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a small team
  • Be able to work on own initiative, but also to take direction when required

    • You will be required to be flexible in the hours that you work, as the role will involve working some Saturdays.

    We are looking for a professional, experienced Distribution Coordinator who can demonstrate knowledge of road haulage. You will be an excellent communicator and be a proactive self-starter who can build effective relationships both with colleagues and customers.

    Previous experience working in concrete markets is desirable though not essential as training will be given. A good familiarity of the local geography is desirable.
