We are seeking a Distribution Coordinator based at our Craigenlow office in the North East Scotland Region. As part of the Customer Services Department, you will be responsible for the professional and efficient delivery of products from our Quarries and Plants across the Region.
The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of the Construction and Transportation Industries as you will be responsible for:
* The taking and inputting of orders
* Communicate via telephone and email to customers
* Plan, organise and prioritise deliveries, taking into account customer demands and resources both material and transport
* Ensuring the effective use of transport through liaison with external hauliers and owner drivers for the distribution of materials
* Monitor and take ownership of supplies for the Area to ensure high standard of customer service and truck utilisation. Act upon any loads that appear to be running late. Communicate with weighbridge staff and customers
* Take a pro-active approach to organising and booking vehicles based on customer demand.
You will have the ability to manage competing deadlines by estimating timeframes, have the ability to anticipate and react to problems and consider a solution in a timely manner. You will work with colleagues and clients on both a formal and informal level and you will need to be an excellent communicator and have good computer skills both Word and Excel. You will have exceptional customer service skills with a strong work ethic, customer focus and excellent attention to detail.
