They are at the early stages of an exciting journey, which is already taking off, where they are supplying a truly innovative building system to fulfil the ambitious housebuilding targets set by Government. Having secured initial projects within their region, they are now recruiting a team to ensure the timescales are met in line with delivery schedule.

As Document Controller, you will be taking on the responsibility for ensuring document management across all internal build communication platforms, including Design, Engineering, Production as well as all projects from initiation stage through to completion, rigorously maintaining control and traceability of documentation and information exchange.

You will be involved in:

  • Implementing and maintaining document control processes and procedures and developing the document management system
  • Managing the flow of documentation, either electronically or paper support, ensuring documents managed according to established standards and procedures
  • Processing incoming and outgoing documentation, ensuring controlled copies of latest approved documents are distributed internally and externally
  • Controlling and coordinating project documentation and data, ensuring all drawings / documentation are correctly identified, distributed and stored
  • Assisting in the preparation, collation and issue of reports and registers as may be required and communicating with project teams, suppliers and third parties to agreed standards, systems, and ensuring efficient flow of documentation, handover and close out of project activities to ensure consistency in document control
  • Collating, producing and submitting QA documentation for clients


We would like to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller or similar from a construction, housebuilding or manufacturing industry
  • Document control certification would be advantageous but not essential
  • Received training related to document and quality management (including auditing to ISO9001)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and electronic document management systems
  • Understanding of the principles of BIM within construction and/or manufacturing, able to apply principles to design output
  • Proactive and focussed approach to your work
