Position: Document Controller

Location: Within 1 hour's commute of Nottingham

Kier Buildings Central require a Document Controller to support the pre-construction team based in our office in management of documents as part of the tendering process, as well as admin support.

The team and the region: The Nottingham team have completed some outstanding projects to date and have a full order book moving forwards to continue this performance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a collaborative member of the Kier team - facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practice to the wider Kier team.
  • Maintain responsibility for own performance, continually developing skills and knowledge.
  • Assist as required with general administration / reception.
  • Drive improvements within the Document Control scope through leadership standards and behaviours.
  • Attend Document Controllers meeting and share best practice within the business.
  • Agree a Document Controllers Task List with the tender and project teams and carry out actions accordingly.
  • Downloading and Publishing documents / drawings in accordance with project procedure as agreed with the Project Design Manager.
  • Expedite late documentation from Clients and Consultants.
  • Assisting Design Manager with internal document review including collating & coordinating response.
  • Provision of weekly reports to the Design Manager on the status of all documentation.
  • Track all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including logging in registers and issuing document transmittals.
  • Essential:
