A leading Civil & Environmental Engineering Consultancy is seeking a Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer to join their team in Richmond, London.


With a strong reputation for sustainable design and public sector work-including with Transport for London and local authorities-you'll be supported to develop your technical skills and grow your career in a collaborative, inclusive environment.


Your Role


You'll support the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from early-stage feasibility to detailed design. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing SuDS and drainage systems using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage or Causeway Flow
  • Assisting with Flood Risk Assessments and planning submissions
  • Producing technical drawings with AutoCAD
  • Liaising with internal teams, clients, and local authorities
  • Supporting junior colleagues and learning from senior engineers

What You'll Bring

  • 2-4 years' UK consultancy experience
  • Understanding of SuDS, drainage policy, and planning
  • Experience with AutoCAD and drainage design software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or similar)


Desirable:
Knowledge of CDM Regs, foul drainage, GIS, Civil 3D, or local authority experience.
