Location: Gloucester - site based
Contract: Permanent - Fulltime
Salary: up to £35k
Responsibilities
As an Ecological Clerk of Works, you'll provide single point of contact for ecological matters onsite and be responsible for overseeing the management of construction risks associated with ecology and provide continuous improvement of environmental processes, procedures and related forms
Your day to day will include:
- Provide onsite support to licenced ecologists as required
- Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with CEMP, SSSI assent, protected species licences and agreed methodologies.
- Produce and deliver inductions, toolbox talks and communicate to contractors.
- Carry out pre-construction checks and regular site inspections.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders and the project team.
This role of Ecological Clerk of Works is great for you if have:
- Ecological related degree or equivalent
- Member of CIEEM or equivalent
- Previous Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) experience including working with contractors and ensuring compliance with protected species licence requirements and environmental protection measures.
- Experience conducting protected species surveys including badgers, nesting birds, great crested newts and reptiles
