An independent ecological consultancy are looking to appoint Ecologists/Ornithologists at Senior level and above to join their specialist team, in response to the growing success of the business. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of exciting projects, with a big focus on renewables (onshore wind, solar, battery storage).
My client is a national expert in the delivery of renewables projects; their current portfolio of work consists of numerous solar farms (including several NSIPs) and over 50 large-scale wind farms. The consultancy prides themselves on their ability to deliver large and complex projects to the highest standards, so are seeking talented, ambitious individuals with a real drive to succeed and challenge themselves. While some field work will be involved, the role is predominately desk-based, with a focus on project management and business development. Specific responsibilities will depend on experience level, but liaising with clients, stakeholders and planning authorities, leading various projects throughout the UK and mentoring junior staff can all be expected.
Key requirements:
- At least 3 years of consultancy experience in a similar role
- Strong report writing and survey skills
- Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Onshore wind experience advantageous
The position is being offered as a hybrid role based out of their office in the North West, but for candidates with onshore wind experience specifically, the location can be flexible.
