We are looking for an Environmental Advisor to assist the environment team in delivering Environmental and Sustainability Strategy You'll work on the HS2 project - the UK's largest infrastructure project running from London Euston to Birmingham, reducing journey times by 40%.
- Undertake and/or assist Sector Environment Manager in establishing, managing and maintaining relationships with the supply chain, external stakeholders and the local authorities
- Assist in embedding environmental sustainability requirements into the project delivery i.e. HS2 Code of Construction Practice, Environmental Minimum Requirement s and HS2 Hybrid Bill
- Assist in the development and implementation of Sector Environmental Management plans, Local Environmental Management Plans and coordination of reviews as and when required
- Assist in the Implementation of Sector Environmental and Sustainability Audit's Schedule
- Provide guidance and advice on all EU/UK environment legislation and HS2 Client Requirements
- Monitor, analyse and report on environmental performance; utilise data to highlight areas of further consideration, evaluation and intervention
- Assist with and/or manage the investigation of environmental incidents, near misses and other incidents
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of Environmental training/briefings programme
