The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a professional body that accredits professionals within the land, property and construction sectors worldwide. RICS works in partnership with universities to ensure that their accredited degree courses are relevant to industry. They are the global professional body promoting and enforcing the highest international standards in the valuation, management and development of land, real estate, construction and infrastructure worldwide.
The post holder will play support the delivery of education and qualification standards, including relationships with universities and education providers. We are seeking a confident and highly motivated individual to join the team to provide specialist advice, project work delivery, and support regional teams.
There may be an element of travel required, in addition to supporting events and meetings as required.
The principal geographical focus for the role will be UK and Ireland, with the potential for expansion to Middle East and Africa.
Key Achievements & Responsibilities
* Support the delivery education and qualification standards project objectives in line with agreed timescales
* Support the development and ongoing maintenance of our education and accreditation functions, ensuring alignment with recognised international standards.
* Support the development of quality audit and assurance frameworks to maintain the consistent standards of our education and qualification activities.
* Assist with policy development and guidance production.
* Organise meetings, write board papers, minutes, attend and present at board meetings
* Provide knowledge and technical and practice-based advice and support for the development and ongoing standards management of professional assessments, qualification pathways, certifications, and accreditation/diploma schemes.
* Respond to member and staff enquiries relating to education and qualification standards when not the responsibility of world regional teams.
* Provide a research capability to the team.
* Coordinate requests for data information from education providers, providing analysis and reports, including accredited course data
* Coordinate and administer education provider meetings
Experience Required Experience Required
* Experience of quality assurance, or working in either higher education, or a professional body
* Experience of presenting information and data in formats for a range of audiences, including policy and report writing skills.
* An understanding of education activities and its role in the professional qualification process
* Experience or knowledge of the real estate and construction industry would be desirable
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to think critically, analyse data, and present effectively.
* Good computer skills, including the use of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and others).
