Role: EHS Officer

Location: Leinster

Salary: Negotiable DOE

Our client an established Industrial Roofing & Cladding Company (Construction) are currently recruiting a EHS Officer for Leinster location.

As a EHS Officer, you will be responsible for providing advise regarding on site health & safety issues, as well as striving to improve safe conditions in the workplace. This position covers our Dublin / Leinster sites.

Reporting to the Company Safety Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the company safety management system implementation on
  • Delivering Health & Safety site induction programmes for new employees or subcontractors working on site.
  • Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections
  • Assisting Contracts Manager with site specific RAMS
  • Attending EHS site meeting
  • Liaising with EHS members from Client and main
  • Sub-contractor RAMS review and obtaining training
  • Carrying out Toolbox meetings
  • Arranging inductions for staff on sites as
  • Ensuring that a record of statutory inspections is kept for all plant &
  • Accident investigation and reporting
  • Managing and making recommendations for PPE equipment required for
  • Maintaining training records and Provide training where required or organise the provision of same.
  • Collecting and collating relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File

To be considered for this role, you must have

  • A Degree or Diploma in EHS
  • EHS experience which includes a minimum of 1 years construction
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), organizational, interpersonal and presentation
  • Strong logical and clear-thinking individual
  • The maturity and professionalism to deal with senior colleagues in a factual and cordial manner and capable of writing concise and clear report commentary.
  • Team Player
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required
