We're working with a market leading General contractor who are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Manager to join a Hyperscale Data Center projects across Europe
the Commissioning Manager will communicate project progress to key stakeholders, such as the client and engineers. In addition, the Commissioning Manager will supervising and coordinating commissioning activities at a job site including that of its sub-contractors and direct labour.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of electrical commissioning activities on site from planning to execution and handover.
- Coordinate and lead the commissioning team, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- Develop and oversee commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Liaise with design, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth integration of commissioning with project milestones.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of LV/MV systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, BMS integration, fire alarms, and other electrical components.
- Drive the resolution of commissioning issues and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate commissioning records, reports, and system turnover packages.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE and Quality standards throughout commissioning phases.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in electrical commissioning management, ideally within the data centre or mission-critical environment.
- Proven experience in commissioning LV and MV systems, UPS, generators, switchgear, and control systems.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with international electrical standards and commissioning protocols.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, plans, and technical documents.
- Proficient in commissioning tools, reporting, and testing documentation.
- Willingness to be based on site in Groningen for the duration of the project.
