Type: Full time, Permanent, 4:1 (Office:Home).
Location: Southwark, London.
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer in London!
Design M&E services for high fashion and household name brand stores!

A vacancy is available with our partnered consultancy, who operate from their modern office in Southwark, London.

Their business specialises in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health service design, primarily to high-end creative industries, with an emphasis on the premium retail industry, having delivered flagship stores for high-profile clients like Cartier, Selfridges and Harrods. This is not all, as their project portfolio also boasts deluxe international manors, offices, and luxury restaurants.
Your new role as an Electrical Engineer will give you the opportunity to design the layout of electrical services required for each client to achieve their desired aesthetic and specify the components and work required to achieve this.
The services you design may include:
- Internal, Display and External Lighting
- Small Power
- LV distribution
- Data/AV
- Fire Alarms & Sprinklers
- Photo-voltaic Technologies
- Battery Storage
- Security
- Digital Signage
With regard to the above, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing technical drawings and checking output
- Preparing technical reports in accordance with clients' briefs
- Responsibility for those aspects of project management and/or design work specifically delegated to the postholder.
- May lead key elements of specific projects on a day-to-day basis, under the guidance and supervision of a more experienced team member.
- Informal mentoring of less experienced team members as required.
- Pro-actively managing own professional development within the framework provided by accredited training agreements.
- Undertake site visits to monitor the progress of works against specification, and highlight issues to the contractor, client and/or (internal or external) project manager as necessary
- Correspond with external third parties (eg clients, contractors, architects and/or manufacturers) regarding information and technical queries
- Delegate work to Technicians and/or Graduate Engineers as required, and provide feedback on completed work
- Maintain awareness of the performance of projects against agreed project plans and budgets, at a level appropriate to role.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Building Services Design
- Knowledge of industry standard electrical design software, such as DIALux, RELUX, and Trimble/Amtech, with draughting and BIM federated modelling software AutoCAD and Revit.
