Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company in Hertfordshire who are looking for a brand-new Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join their team.

The primary responsibility of the post holder will be the supervision of a team of engineers carrying out electrical reactive maintenance on behalf of the company. The role may also include, but is not limited to, supervision in the following work areas- FRA associated works, Planned Preventative Maintenance, and External/Street Lighting installation and maintenance.

Duties:

  • Work in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with the current health & safety and electrical regulations/standards.
  • Have good technical knowledge and understanding of a variety of electrical systems
  • Fill out all paperwork and/or use the Oneserve Application accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete all electrical work in accordance with BS 7671 Amendment 3 2024.
  • Manage and supervise team members and report back to Qualified Supervisors/Heads of Department.
  • Offer technical advice to engineers
  • Monitor performance of engineers.
  • Attend site meetings with clients
  • Conduct disciplinary investigation meetings, where required, and ensure correct company processes are adhered to.
  • Provide any necessary training to team members, either on site or in the company training centre, and monitor progression of apprentices/improvers.
  • Carry out regular on site and post inspections of engineer's work, preparing detailed reports of findings
  • Undertake regular van stock inspections of engineer's materials
  • Carry out and document end of probation and performance reviews of engineers
  • Holding monthly toolbox talks with engineers
  • Carry out interviews with potential candidates if/when required.
  • Provide detailed site reports for quotes/VO's (where required)
  • Ensure KPI's are met
  • Ensure all company policies/codes of conducts are adhered to
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients and staff
  • Undertake any ad hoc duties assigned by the QS, HOD or members of the senior management team

Key Knowledge:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • BS 7671 18th Edition
  • 2391 or equivalent test & inspection qualification - Desirable
  • AM2/completed apprenticeship - Desirable
