Role Overview

The Electrical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical systems on a major data centre or high-tech infrastructure project. This individual will ensure that all project goals are met within the constraints of budget, schedule, and quality standards, while coordinating closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical installation scope from design review through to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, resource allocations, and construction schedules for electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, CSA (civil, structural, architectural), and commissioning teams to ensure full project integration.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and progress against milestones; address delays or non-conformance.
  • Ensure all electrical works are carried out to applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the project team and site workforce.
  • Conduct and attend daily/weekly coordination meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress, risks, variations, and budget compliance to senior management.
  • Manage procurement timelines and logistics of long lead-time electrical equipment.
  • Liaise with design and BIM teams to resolve technical queries and support project delivery.

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in electrical project management, ideally within large-scale construction or data centre environments.
  • Proven track record delivering projects through full lifecycle (design, installation, testing, commissioning).
  • Experience managing direct labour and subcontractors across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness including change management, cost tracking, and forecasting.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of LV and MV electrical systems, power distribution, and structured cabling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and MS Office suite; Primavera P6 experience an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment across international sites.
