We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrician to work alongside our team in Uphall, Edinburgh to work on the refurbishment and fit out of the complete range of Portakabin buildings to the highest possible standards. You will also be involved in aftersales, rectification and problem-solving work. Role Details
  • Salary: From £27,000
  • Role based: Edinburgh (EH28 8SY)
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Design and install electrical systems incorporating all types of electrical materials, ensuring that all installations meet current regulations.
  • Ensure compliance relevant Health and Safety practices and all applicable legislation to encourage and maintain zero harm environment and culture.
  • Apply lean principles and techniques to help and contribute to your team delivering and exceeding our KPI targets.
  • Understanding and applying the electrical principles and works associated with the design, building, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
  • As applicable assume responsibility as the qualified supervisor and therefore oversee all testing requirements for the Hire Centre.
  • Conduct fault finding and undertake rectifications of existing systems both on and off site.

  • Specialist and detailed technical expertise
  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2) & City & Guilds 2360 or NVQ Level 3 electrical installation
  • City & Guilds 2380/2381 (IEE Wiring Regs - 18th Edition) or SJIB Card - Electrician (Must include IEE Wiring Regs 18th Edition)
  • City & Guilds 2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification
  • Ability to establish good relationships with customers and staff, building effective networks
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Ability to work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way
  • Full driving license
