Kier Strategic Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Highways Electrician to join our Area 9 contract.

Kier Highways design roads, bridges and intelligent transport systems (ITS), covering strategic and nationally important roads, as well as local roads serving local communities.

Our projects range from major improvements to complete renewals of roads and structures. With specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to handover at the end of maintenance periods.

Your responsibilities:
  • Undertake various duties including Routine/cyclic maintenance
  • Installation of street furniture i.e. lighting columns, signs and bollards
  • Carry out periodic testing of existing cable network and new installation testing
  • What are we looking for?:
  • City and Guilds part 1 & 2
  • City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection
  • City and Guilds 7671 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • IPAF 1B, 3A & 3B
  • CSCS/ECS card NHSS 8
  • Will require experience in street lighting
  • Be willing to work days and nights
  • Be able to work on a call out rota
  • Be able to work on a winter maintenance rota
  • Be able to work weekends/overtime when required
  • Full UK Driving licence covering C1 or C1+E
  • Desirable but not essential:
  • HIAB/Lorry Loader
  • Mini excavator below 10 tonnes
  • PAS 55 Competence
