We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services, working on projects such as Local and Strategic Highways.

We are now recruiting for an Electrician to join our Highways team in Birmingham to assist with the completion of the maintenance programme.

Key Responsibilities

As Electrician you will carry out routine preventative and reactive maintenance on streetlighting assets, on the Birmingham Highways Interim Services Contract. Ensure work is carried out in compliance with the relevant quality plans, method statements, risk assessments and inspection/test plans. Conduct periodic testing and new installation testing, other duties will include fault finding and repair on control wiring/components.

We are seeking candidates who?
  • Are City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation/City and Guilds 2391 Test and Inspect qualified
  • Have experience in the maintenance of streetlighting operations
  • Hold an ECS card
  • Demonstrate knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Able to show successful delivery of maintenance/construction projects to tight time and budget constraints
  • Can travel and hold a full driving licence
