EMC Test Engineer

£35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus and Pension.

Would you be interested in joining a world leader in EMC Testing? Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, results-driven EMC Test Engineer to work within their laboratory based in Hampshire commutable from Bournemouth, Reading and surrounding areas.

Working within the team, the EMC Test Engineer will apply specialist technical knowledge for the testing of equipment and systems in a range of different industries such as Food, Environment, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics and Commercial Product testing.

You will also be in contact with clients and customers that come into the lab with any queries.

The successful engineer will be working with a company who offers professional development with the opportunity to gain further accreditation and career advancement.

There is a well-established administration team to assist on procedural matters and a team to offer technical expertise and peer review.

What will I need to be successful?

The successful EMC Test Engineer will be

    A straight talker, pragmatic with great communication skills. You will have achieved qualifications in an engineering discipline and aspire to gain chartered status (CMIOSH, IEng / Eur Eng) in an engineering environment. You will be an electrically biased engineer with 2 years + experience working in a laboratory.
      Your technical reporting and writing skills should be highly proficient and you will have a strong ability to understand and empathise with clients.

  • Experience in development of EMC and radio testing capabilities and performance of compliance testing for their rapidly expanding customer base.
  • Excellent personal organisation skills and time management skills and the ability to communicate with technical specialists and non-specialists.
