This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for Health and Social Care who would like to pursue a career as a lecturer or a teacher and work towards gaining a relevant teaching qualification within their specialist area.
The main purpose of the job is to teach health care and nursing, to students from the Health and Social Care areas and to maximise their success. To design, develop and produce learning and teaching material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. Lecturers will ensure the efficient strategy, policy and procedures, contribute to activities which influence leading edge practice in a way that engages, inspires and leads to high achievement.
Role responsibilities
To develop and deliver dynamic learning programmes that meet the needs of learners and utilise a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies.
To identify and assess learners' needs throughout their programme of study.
To plan, design and deliver learning programmes/sessions and facilitate learning in line with course aims, objectives, mode of assessment and accreditation.
To safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults served by the College.
The person & qualifications
Educated to degree level or hold a relevant occupational qualification in the subject area.
Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Ability to inspire and engage learners to achieve their full potential and a passion for teaching and learning.
