We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure services, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are now recruiting for a an Engineering Manager to join our Infrastructure - Major Projects Team to work on our Devonport Royal Dockyard, Infrastructure Upgrade Projects.


Key Responsibilities

In this exciting Engineering Manager Role you will undertake the responsibility of Contractor' Engineering Management for complex infrastructure upgrades to Devonport Royal Dockyard. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering multiple contractors' design packages, reviewing the Clients design for buildability and support the construction team with Temporary Works Design expertise. The Engineering Manager will support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence as well as undertake competence checks and appointment of engineering roles.

What do we need from you?

An Engineering Manager with proven capability working on complex civils projects or in a comparable setting. The ability to demonstrate an appreciation of multi-discipline work, inter-discipline checks and the application of a systems engineering approach and excellent attention to detail is required. You will be proactive, enthusiastic, collaborative in your approach and be able to work as part of a team to deliver the objective of the department. We require the relevant qualifications (degree level or equivalent) and Chartered Membership of the ICE (or working towards).
