Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Commission + Benefits

The Role:

You will be working with a team of engineers and closely with the Provincial Major Works Director to manage contracts and help to achieve financial plans for 2019 and beyond. You will be a confident individual with strong knowledge within both the major lift modernisation & installation with first-class organisational & planning skills. The role also requires technical, engineering and field management expertise and a collaborative can-do management style to work with our clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

    Ensure project handovers are conducted ensuring sales conditions, tender & technical requirements are as specified & agreed.

    Survey for installation of new projects.

    Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and fabricators on design, layouts and products information.

    Secure labour with Project Managers.

    Agree site programmes of work with clients.

    Compile site specific CDM H&S plans

    Attend pre-contract & pre-start meetings

    Conduct contract/project handovers with project managers

    Assist with contract application valuations, achieve approvals & payments.

    Engineering support from project start-ups through to completions.

    Work alongside project managers to achieve timely handovers with minimal controllable defects

    Ensure handover of completed works to legislative standards.

    Assist with compilation of O&M manuals

    Installation & modernisation audits.

KPI's

-Zero time lost accidents

-Complete jobs at est.cost plus 5% or better

-On-time completion

-100% collection of invoices

-No customer complaints

-120% & 100% billings & cash coverage respectively

The Candidate:

    NVQ qualification in Passenger Lifts.

    Knowledge of construction sites and building process.

    A sound understanding of Lifts Directives and Building Standards.
