Product Owner/ Timber Engineering software specialist
West Midlands
Salary to £55,000
Well established supplier of software products to a specialist sector of the construction industry seeks a Timber Engineering Software Specialist- Product Owner to join their team in West Midlands. The role will give you an excellent opportunity to work closely with the software development team and key internal clients in order to lead change and have substantial impact on their specialist software.
Job Requirements:
Engineering degree (i.e. Structural/ civil engineering)
Excellent theoretical and proved working experience of the timber engineering/ roof truss industry
Working knowledge of Eurocodes and design standards (e.g. EC5, BS5268)
Desire to be part of the software team and be able to advise the software development team
Confident in communicating key needs of the industry and lead change across UK and European branches
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the software development team to drive change to specialist software
Identify key market needs and raise engineering requirements
Coordination of the UK and European technical team
Key role on the development of future software products
Internal client liaison
