Protocol are pleased to be working with a Further Education college based in Rotherham in their search for a Full time, Permanent Engineering workplace skills coach to assess and support level 2 - 5 students on their Engineering programs of study (Electrical Engineering, Machining and Manufacturing) within the workplace.

If you have experience of planning, delivering and assessing apprenticeships in electrical engineering, machining and/or manufacturing OR if you are a highly experienced industry professional looking to take your first step into teaching and assessing, then this may be the job for you!
The rewarding position involves assessing & supporting level 2 to 5 qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Machining and Manufacturing with our apprentices in the work-place. Updating and developing their portfolios & carrying out on-site performance reviews and assessments to ensure the next generation of engineers are the very best. Using your excellent IT skills, you will maintain accurate records of student progress via tracking systems.
Most of the role will take place on site within the college in Rotherham, however extensive travel will be required to employer sites across an agreed geographical region. You will need to be able to build good relationships, manage a caseload of apprentices and communicate effectively with a diverse range of people and organisations.
Have you got what it takes?
You will need to be a confident assessor/tutor who can engage with a wide variety of learners and bring the subject matter to life in a creative and engaging way. You will also need to hold:
* A relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
* An A1/V1 Assessors Award (or equivalent)
OR you will need to be a highly experience industry professional with a passion to get into teaching and assessing. If you fit into this category the college are willing to put people through their Teaching qualifications and Assessor qualifications for free! All you will need is:
* A relevant NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
* A passion and desire to get into teaching and assessing
