Protocol are currently working with a fantastic Gloucestershire based college who have a wide range courses, ranging from Apprenticeships all the way through to Higher Education and taking on students from all over the world.

In 2016 Ofsted rated them 'Good' showing a strong dedication to their students well-being and helping them forward in their journey for success whether that be to start their own careers or venture into Higher Education.

They are currently recruiting for a Engineering Workshop Lecturer to work for them on a Full Time, Temporary basis.

Salary: from £29ph up to £37ph (depending on experience).

Role responsibilities

Delivering Mechanical Engineering from Level 2 & 3.
Plan and deliver lively and interactive instruction and assessment activities to a high standard on a range of programmes in both a workshop and classroom environment.
Mark and assess students' work, in line with College policies and procedures and awarding body regulations and provide effective feedback to learners to help them
improve, including in relation to English and Maths.
Motivate and inspire young people to want to achieve their individual learning aims and qualifications.
Work closely with colleagues and the Teaching & Learning team to plan and use a range of effective teaching techniques to engage and motivate learners and
encourage independence and learner autonomy.

The person & qualifications

Relevant industry experience as Mechanical engineer.
Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Level 3 or above Mechanical engineering qualification.
PGCE or Certificate in Education (or willingness to complete).
Extensive CPD, and experience with CNC/CAD (Desirable)
Assessors award / IQA award (Desirable)
