Kier Infrastructure Major Projects are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to have accountability for the delivery of Environmental support for projects across the wider business stream.
Job Responsibilities
In this exciting Environmental Advisor role, you'll drive continuous improvement in environmental performance through conformity to environmental legislation, our Kier environmental management systems and assisting in delivery of our Sustainability framework. You'll review pre-construction information to evaluate environmental risks and opportunities and support bids and tenders with the environmental/sustainability agenda. You'll also assist in the development of environmental management plans and facilitate environmental training as required. This role entails working closely with our SHE teams on site visits to complete environmental reviews, audits and attending client meetings.
What do we need from you?
A good communicator with strong time management skills. You must be a Member of IEMA or hold an equivalent membership within a relevant professional body. You'll have demonstrable experience within a similar role and good knowledge of environment concepts such as the source, pathway, and receptor model. You'll also have strong knowledge of Environmental issues and best practice methods. You'll also have good knowledge of environmental management systems. A degree qualified and ISO 14001 auditor experience is preferred.
