Job Title: Environmental Advisor

Location: Flexible- surrounding areas of Bristol/ Somerset/ Devon/ Cornwall

Business Area: Kier Utilities- South West

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract- Full Time

We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services and we are recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join the Utilities team in the South West working on our water, energy, and telecoms frameworks we hold.

As Environmental Advisor, you will be responsible for the management and effective delivery of all environment and sustainability aspects of the works carried out within your area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all environmental aspects of the contract are controlled as required by the Kier Environmental Management System and that operations are carried out on time, to specification and within all requirements
  • Completing pre-start walk overs, advising on mitigation and ecological requirements and completing further ecological surveys where necessary
  • Reviewing site waste management and pollution prevention set-ups and setting up and training on SMARTWaste systems
  • Liaising with the Client, regulators, landowners, conservation groups and other key stakeholders to ensure suitable & sustainable enhancements are incorporated, whilst raising awareness and trail new low carbon technologies
What do we need from you?

  • Experience within a similar role and qualified to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate environmental/ sustainability discipline
  • Experience within ecological management, delivering training and excellent environmental knowledge
