Kier Construction is looking to recruit an Environmental Advisor who will be a key member of the delivery team, assisting with the development and delivery of large and complex projects. The role will focus upon adding value to the business development and operational teams by developing and driving client-focused sustainability initiatives, providing specialist support during business development activities and improving environmental decision-making of project-based personnel, including supply-chain members.
The role will demand mobility to suit existing and potential workloads and will require regular attendance at the regional offices.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline.
- Experience of Civil Engineering or Construction and large multidisciplinary projects preferred.
- Experience of driving and assessing sustainability.
- The ability to positively influence others.
- Adaptable team player with good initiative and strong problem solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated with the ability to self-learn.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
- Excellent IT skills.
- The willingness and ability to travel nationally (a clean UK driving licence is essential).
