We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to ensure our local business unit remains compliant with all environmental legislation and to have accountability for the delivery of environmental support and assist in the conformity with Kier environmental management systems.
Key Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you'll deliver continual improvement in our environmental performance. You'll support bids and tenders and assist in the development of environmental plans. You'll identify and evaluate environmental risks and opportunities and support with environmental training. You'll also attend sites to setup review visits and liaise with our SHE team to identify high risk projects and activities to ensure risk management controls are in place.
What are we looking for?
You'll require demonstrable experience working as an Environmental Advisor or similar role and a degree within an Environmental discipline is preferred. You must be an IEMA Practitioner or hold a relevant level of membership from a professional body. You'll also have previous experience of developing documents and procedures that are consistent with ISO 14001 and have a good working knowledge of environmental management systems.
