Position: Environmental, Health and Safety Officer
Location: Kilkenny
Salary: Neg DOE
The Company:
Our client are experts in the extraction, manufacture and supply of Irish Blue Limestone, and proudly serve in the construction of prestige edifices worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership support across the organisation to foster a positive Health and Safety culture.
- Develop and implement the sites Health and Safety compliance in-line with the companies objectives.
- Complete thorough investigation, root cause analysis for all significant incidents and accident investigations.
- Ensure that safety and ISO 14001 environmental audits are carried out in conjunction with the relevant Area Managers.
- Carry out inspection of safety equipment.
- Keep up to date with new legislation & standards.
- Represent the Company during outside Agency Audits/Inspections and liaise as required with the Health & Safety Authority.
- Carrying out/updating risk assessments, formulating preventative measures and monitoring conformance.
- Ensuring all equipment is installed & operated safely as per legislation.
- Ensures assigned projects are managed in conjunction with all required Kilkenny Limestone Quarries and legal requirements (Health & Safety, construction, environmental etc.)
- Ensure compliance to Occupational Hygiene monitoring programme.
Requirements:
- Level 8 degree in EHS or related field.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills.
