Job Description As an
ePOS Specialist, you will configure menus, maintain recipe and product data, manage system updates, support menu launches, resolve configuration issues, and ensure accuracy across digital menus and hospitality platforms to enable smooth, timely, and data-driven operations.
Job Overview Employment type: Project-based (24 months, subject to evaluation near end of term)
Shift: Mid shift, Weekends Off (M-F, 8:30am-5:30pm UK time; more flexible than System Analyst role)

The Qualifications We Seek
Around 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Zonal Aztec ePOS (must have) in a menu configuration / head office / systems role
Experience with Fourth StarChef and Tenkites or similar recipe/menu management platforms
Strong Excel skills for data manipulation (filters, lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas, vlookups)
Proven experience in data entry and data quality within hospitality or food & beverage
Demonstrable attention to detail; comfortable working with large, detailed datasets without losing accuracy
Experience working to briefs and deadlines, ideally across multiple stakeholders or sites
Desirable
Experience working for a pub company, brewery, or multi-site hospitality, restaurant, or contract catering environment
Familiarity with data/ETL concepts (imports/exports, data mapping between systems)
Understanding of food and beverage recipes, allergens, nutrition, and menu engineering
Experience with other hospitality systems (back-office stock, online ordering, kiosks)

Your Daily Tasks ePOS menu programming (Zonal Aztec)
Build and maintain ePOS menus in Zonal Aztec, including ingredients, recipes, products, menu & brand structures, panels, pricing, and promotions
Implement price changes and menu updates in line with briefs from Food Development / Commercial / Operations
Investigate stock issues identified by operations support
Act as second-line support for the IT service desk, covering ePOS menus and stocks
Test and validate menu changes before go-live, resolving any configuration or data issues
Menu & recipe data management (Fourth StarChef and Tenkites)
Assist the food team in setting up and maintaining recipes, menus, and menu cycles in Fourth StarChef and Tenkites
Ensure all recipe data is complete and accurate (ingredients, portions, allergens, nutritional data, method steps, etc.)
Regularly review and clean data to remove duplicates, fix errors, and keep systems aligned
Data entry, ETL & reporting
Carry out structured data entry and updates across ePOS, Fourth, Tenkites, and related systems
Import/export data between systems and Excel (CSV uploads, data mapping, bulk updates)
Use Excel to review, cleanse, and reconcile data; produce simple reports to support menu changes
Quality, accuracy & governance
Maintain the highest standards of data quality and consistency across all menu and recipe data
Follow agreed processes, naming conventions, and sign-off steps for menu updates
Working to briefs & deadlines
Interpret briefs from Food Development, Commercial, and Operations teams to configure accurate systems
Plan and prioritise workload to deliver menu changes to agreed timelines (seasonal launches, promotions)
Communicate clearly with stakeholders about progress, risks, and clarifications
