Location: Can be based out of our Exeter, Hatherleigh or Roche offices, with mixture of home working and travel to sites/ offices.
Contract: Permanent, full time - flexible/ part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know and we'll do our best to support you
Responsibilities
Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.
In this role, you will be working on our South West Water MEICA framework, and as Estimator you will be joining an established team pricing works, representing Kier across the Client.
The role will involve the production of MEICA estimates for projects within a multi-million pound Design & Build Framework. The Framework covers the design and construction of improvements to existing, clean and waste water treatment plants and pumping stations. The role will mainly involve the production of estimates on an agreed design to target price for project award
Your day to day will include:
- Assessment and evaluation of client need statements to determine project scope
- Engage and obtain sub-contractor/ material quotes- analyse/ compare and summarise
- Site attendance to survey and collate relevant information
This role of Estimator is great for you if you hold:
- Experience of working within the mechanical/ electrical sector with experience of project delivery
- Previous experience of producing estimates in a MEICA environment under the NEC suite of contracts
- Qualified in a Mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
- Hold a Full Driving Licence
