Job Title: Estimator
Location: West Yorkshire Base, National Projects
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + excellent benefits
Sector: Modular

We are working with an innovative design and build company with a strong reputation for delivering high quality value for money solutions across a variety of market sectors. They are looking for an experienced Estimator to ensure that Project Estimates are returned in a timely manner whilst maintaining profit at all times.

This company's success derives from the way they deliver their modular design and build projects by challenging the norm, finding innovative ways of working and utilising modern methods of construction to deliver the best design and delivery solutions for their customers. Often working as a Principal Contractor, candidates must have broad experience of the construction industry and a working knowledge of turn key projects.

The Role:

  • Review incoming enquiries, establishing the full scope of works, identifying both items of in-house manufacture and subcontract specialist services
  • Liaison with external suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Qualify bid with any necessary risk items and exclusions/qualifications
  • Estimates created using Excel
  • Creating and sourcing special non-standard prices and entering onto the system to develop the database for future use
  • Produce specification and bid collateral to compliment the drawing and estimate
  • Liaise with internal departments as well as subcontractors for quotations for non in-house items
  • Attend in-house & external project meetings as necessary
  • Be mindful of deadlines, keep stakeholders informed of any delays

Work Experience:

  • A strong history of estimating major construction projects
  • Good numeracy and computer skills
  • Knowledge of materials/construction methods
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations & British Standards and how to apply them
  • Experience within the Offsite Building Systems Market would be extremely useful


The Package:

  • Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
  • Pension + Benefits Package
