Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a Construction Company in the West Drayton area who are looking for a brand new Brickwork Estimator to join their team covering New Build Properties.

They are looking for an experienced Estimator who has previous experience working on New Builds & Brickwork Estimation.

Duties:

  • Estimator position dealing with a range of brickwork projects for main contractors
  • Estimating Brickwork prices for New Build properties
  • Review, analyse and send out all tender packages to clients
  • Conducting take offs and pricing different elements of a tender including completing schedule of works or tender return document
  • Liaising with clients, Buyers, Quantity Surveyors & management to ensure smooth running of projects
  • Negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Working closely with the client on all changes in scope, questions or clarifications regarding the work, during the tendering process
  • Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
  • Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
  • Responsible for preparing complete, accurate estimates in accordance with the contract
  • You must be able to work with minimal supervision and able to take tender preparation to a stage where adjudication is purely an overview of the proposed approach and pricing level
  • Tendering for jobs from £100,000 to £5Million

Key Knowledge:

  • Ideally will have experience in the brickwork / ground works market sector
  • Must have estimating experience within the construction
  • Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
  • Excellent communicator across all levels both written and verbally
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment alone and within a team
