Estimator - Pre-Construction
Location: Flexible working available, where you will be based out of our Fulham, Loughton or Basingstoke office with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites
Business Area: Kier Places - Capital Projects - London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) contract
Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Kier Places are recruiting now for an experienced Estimator to join the passionate Capital Projects team working on our Hammersmith & Fulham framework contract and other capital projects in London and the south east. The projects are varied in both size and complexity ranging in value from £1million to £10million. By their nature most projects involved fire safety and all are aimed at adding value to the communities in which we work.
This is a newly formed team specialising in this new workstream, which has huge long-term growth opportunity - we're looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand, who's able to work as part of a closely knit team that has the opportunity to develop and control its own destiny.
Key Responsibilities
As an Estimator with this team in Kier, you'll be focused on advising, preparing & winning new tenders and existing framework opportunities and two stage tenders for the business - this will require you to manage robust and long-term relationships with clients and internal teams in line with the general strategy; as well as assist in managing the production of tender documents, attend pre-tender and post tender interviews, and provide data as requested.
What do we need from you?
Ideally, you will be degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying, Construction or Engineering related field; have good all-round, technical construction knowledge; with similar sector experience within Residential or Commercial projects for fit-outs, responsive maintenance, refurbishments, planned works, new builds, or capital construction.
