A well-established contractor working across groundworks and civil engineering is on the lookout for a client facing Estimator/Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
With a strong order book and longstanding relationships with some of the UK's leading developers and main contractors, this role offers the chance to take ownership of a varied and steady pipeline of work. The right person will play a key part in pricing residential and commercial groundwork packages, working closely with directors, clients, and the operational team.
What the role involves:
- Producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of groundworks and civils projects.
- Reviewing drawings, specs, and tender documents to fully understand scope and risk.
- Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Attending meetings pre- and post-tender to represent the estimating team.
- Helping to develop and support junior members of the department.

- A solid background in estimating within groundworks or civil engineering.
- Confident understanding of the residential and commercial construction landscape.
- Good head for numbers and detail, with a practical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
