If you are an experienced events coordinator with knowledge of all aspects of event production including AV, lighting, sound and staging then we want to hear from you.

About Halo

Events are an important part of Halo's activities accounting for a large proportion of our turnover. Over past 18 months we have undertaken an expansion in this department, and we are actively recruiting to consolidate this increase in our client base. The position is central, managing our events team and implementing structural improvements. Although some site meetings will be required, this is an office-based role conducted from our production office.

The role:

  • Overseeing all aspects of production: equipment allocations / logistics / sub-hires / crewing, etc
  • Directly managing some productions from our office.
  • Driving changes and improvements wherever required.
  • Communicating effectively with other departments.
  • Providing management to production staff.
  • Collaboration with our Events Business Manager to develop opportunities.
  • Co-ordination our events and events teams.
  • Organising logistical support for all our events.
  • Proofing all proposals from our events managers including plans / contracts / quotations.
  • Ensuring production packs are submitted on time.
  • Ensuring the profitability of our productions.
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers and purchase at best price, negotiate contracts with free-lancers.
  • Ensuring the procurement process is effective and coordinated with accounts
  • Taking some events enquiries - mostly emails but also by phone.
  • Overseeing equipment preps in conjunction with warehouse manager.
  • Post-Event feed-back: ensure that effective debriefs are carried out and required changes implemented.

About you - what we are looking for:

  • A track record in event and team management.
  • Experience of managing the business side of productions.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of event production - AV / Lighting / Sound / Staging.
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft office and any rental, crew and financial management software.
  • CAD drawing ability, any of the following: Sketch-up / Auto-CAD / etc
  • Driving license.

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 + paid overtime

Yearly Salary : circa £50K plus benefit
