We're delighted to advertise a new position for an Explosives Supervisor at our Ffestiniog Quarry in Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, working for our world renowned Welsh Slate business.

At Welsh Slate, we can offer a truly different quarrying role and our teams take immense pride in their work and the production of our slate products. We are very ambitious and you'll be instrumental in supporting our Quarry Manager in growing the Ffestiniog site. As a whole we endeavor to grow the slate product portfolio from our quarries and continue to expand our footprint and we'd like to take you on that journey with us.

As an Explosives Supervisor your role will be to maintain the safe and efficient supply of blasted stone to the quarry production team, in line with our quarry development plan. You will also support our blasting teams at Cwt y Bugail and Penrhyn Quarries.

Do you have…?

  • Level 5 Diploma in Shotfiring Supervision for the Extractive and Minerals Processing Industries or equivalent
  • A full UK driving licence
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Safety and/or NEBOSH qualification (advantageous)
