Kier Utilities and its Framework with Western Power Distribution are looking to recruit a Supervisor to work in the East Region.
You would be responsible for Supervising Dig Gangs on the WPD Contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the workforce as directed by the Site agent
  • To give advise on technical issues
  • To oversee the Health and Safety of the workforce on site including Site Safety Audits
  • To keep a diary of daily tasks
  • Report to the Fault Manager on a daily basis between 16.00 and 16.30 to discuss problems and actions required.
  • To ensure the workforce wears the correct PPE and is compliant with current Health and Safety Legislation.
  • To Survey defects as required?
  • pre-inspections for 2 stops.
  • To organise and coordinate Tarmac gangs for two stops and assist with one stops.
  • To check the quality of cold and hot lay finishes as performed by Reinstate Teams.
  • To organise road closures and traffic light applications with the office admin.
  • To coordinate with Fault Manager and assess problems and queries.
  • Attend meetings both internal and with Client as required
  • To Pre-Site Survey (pre-connection)
  • To Survey for Street works (traffic lights and road closures)
  • To Survey for private works.
  • Communicate with Clients/Customers with regards to work and to give advice.
  • Attend related meetings and training courses as and when required.
  • Assist office admin staff as required.
  • Survey of any other work as instructed by the general foreman
