FF&E Designer Job in London

Mid-Weight FF&E Designer with strong experience in residential design required to join a practice in NW London, working on a wide range of large-scale international projects. The role will see you involved in the concept design and development for the FF&E of multiple high-end residential projects across the globe. This position can be offered on a fixed-term contract basis or permanent.

Joining a team of 9, you will be involved in FF&E design, specification, and detailing for high-end and luxury residential projects. Due to the structure of this international hospitality and residential design firm, they won't require you to be involved in the procurement process, you will be purely focused on the earlier concept design and development of projects, combined with ensuring the materials/pieces meet the required specification and design aesthetic. The practice is well-established and well-resourced with a growing pipeline of work, providing a great opportunity for an experienced FF&E Designer to further their career.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Establish FF&E concepts with the support of the wider design team
  • Develop and create concept proposals, mood boards, and presentations; participating in delivering the presentations when required
  • Create and maintain all the relevant FF&E documentation and ensure accuracy with company standards
  • Assist junior members of the team
  • Attend design review meetings
  • Prepare FF&E installation plans
  • Liaise with and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers across the globe
  • Oversee the installation of FF&E and attend site reviews whenever necessary.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' proven experience working on high-end residential projects
  • Able to work proactively and as part of a wider team, coaching and guiding Junior members of staff
  • Strong knowledge and network of suppliers
  • Experience sourcing bespoke furniture
  • Strong experience with Adobe Suite - InDesign and Photoshop
  • Ideally experienced with AutoCAD and SketchUp for technical design and detailing, but not essential.

What you get back

  • Salary range £30,000 - £38,000 per annum
  • 21 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing by 1 day each year up to 25 days)
