Role: Finance Assistant - Treasury
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
Location: York
We are seeking a
Finance Assistant - Treasury to join our Head Office in York. As part of the Finance team, you will be working in a positive environment where personal development is encouraged, creating career opportunities and a results driven team.
You will provide day-to-day treasury administration as part of the Treasury team, dealing with cash management, reporting, forecasting, interest, cash controls, bank administration and payments.
As a Finance Assistant - Treasury, you will:
* Maintain and update Group cash forecast
* Manage weekly payments review process and set up payments
* Ensure statutory payments are made on time
* Work with the Treasury Manager regarding routine bank correspondence and maintain a good working relationship with our banking partners
* Review bank charges
* Maintain cashbook for the primary operating business
* Control and reconcile of Group inter-company payments

Our ideal candidate
* We are looking for someone who has:
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above, including Maths and English
* Maths A Level or equivalent is desirable
* AAT Level 3 or above is desirable
* Experience of working in a finance / treasury team would be beneficial
* Strong IT skills in particular basic Excel functions
* Ability to analyse numerical data, verbal data and all other sources of information
* Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at different levels within the organisation
