Job Title: Finance Business Partner

Location: Manchester based along with home working & travel to offices and sites

Business area: Kier Utilities - Finance

Contract / Hours: Permanent

We are now recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our Utilities team in Manchester who will be responsible for leading the regional finance team, whilst also providing business partnering to the Regional Operations Director, Head of Commercial and wider management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all regional reporting, financial controls and business partnering responsibilities within your region. You will assist in the ongoing development of digital reporting whilst also overseeing the production of month-end and quarterly reports.
  • Along with your colleagues in Commercial and Operational teams, you will partner in implementing improved management reporting, early warning indicators and preparation of weekly and monthly reports on trading performance, cost base analysis and cash conversion. You will need to ensure regional forecasts are challenging, deliverable and align with the business stream targets whilst also driving a stepped change in the use of business analytics.
  • Leading and developing a high performing team alongside providing guidance, coaching and best practise both to the finance and admin teams. Assisting in the development and co-ordination of admin support teams, ensuring a drive towards standardisation and efficiency. There will also be the requirement to manage relationships with key stakeholders, including Business Stream and Regional leadership teams, Contract Management and shared Group functions.
What do we need from you?

  • Excellent commercial acumen and experience of operating in an Infrastructure Services environment
  • Effective communicator who is able to engage with non-financial functions and influence change whilst also have wider business awareness and are able to lead on both finance and none finance matters.
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and experience within a similar post
