Kier Infrastructure Services are looking to recruit a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to the Infrastructure business, supporting the FC in managing the day-to-day Finance team and monthly quarterly reporting process.
Key Responsibilities:
Monthly Overheads Reporting
- Produce monthly overhead reporting each month by required deadlines; provide accurate variance analysis on headcount and costs.
- Provide the FC & FD with support for the Quarterly Forecast.
- Obtain necessary information from the business to ensure accurate headcount and cost assumptions.
- Oversee the production of the Balance Sheet reconciliations for all Infrastructure Companies for first review with the FC.
- Ensure all reconciliations are accurate and provide the necessary detail.
- Produce Monthly and Quarterly VAT returns for all Infrastructure companies, ensuring compliance with both group and HMRC requirements.
- Responsibility for all of the accounting relating to Mining UK.
- Maintain Infrastructure Fixed Asset register, ensuring compliance with Group Capital policy.
- Oversee the production of the annual PSA return for all Infrastructure businesses.
- Manage the Infrastructure "2 year rule" process in conjunction with HR to ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
- Monthly and Weekly costing of all payroll related cost from group into Infrastructure Projects & Overhead.
- Verification of all costs and liaison with site/payroll to ensure accuracy.
- Support the FC by managing the Trainee Accountant and Accounts assistant.
- Provide support and assistance where necessary and help to develop their skills.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to present Financial data, tailored to the audience
- High Level of Excel competence -Pivot tables,Vlookups, SUMIFS/IF statements
- Good technical accounting ability, solid understanding of double entry
- Confident communicator
- Can-do, positive attitude
