This is an interesting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced finance professional. The role would suit a senior financial executive who has left industry but would like to work on a part time basis and from home, or a working parent who would enjoy a challenging role that could work around childcare.

You'll be a central and critical member of the senior management team and will provide them with strategic insights and support with key decision making, drawing on your background and experience. It is a standalone role and as well as the more strategic elements there is a requirement to manage day-to-day Trust accounting. This is a low volume / low transaction business and the physical accounting workload reflects this.

The role:

The role of the Finance Manager is essential to the success of the Trust. Owning the financial stewardship and reporting requirements of the Trust you will provide support to the management team from day-to-day administrative tasks, through the preparation of management accounts, assist with proposals for new grants and support for grant claims, to playing a leading role in the annual budget and financial strategy of the organisation.

What we are looking for:

As a small but growing Trust we are looking for someone with the experience, knowledge and ability to provide support for the CEO as part of a small Senior Management Team. You'll have excellent numerical reasoning and the ability to explain financial parameters and outcomes in constructive fashion to enable your colleagues to deliver their projects and the overall purpose of the Trust. Reliable and sound on the basics required in a small organisation you'll also be able to operate at the strategic level from a financial perspective. You'll also be confident to communicate across all levels, from guiding new project officers on basic budgets to delivering reports to the board of trustees.

This is an exciting role with room for growth for someone looking to bring their financial skills to help deliver positive change for the rivers of Yorkshire
