Due to an increasing workload, my client is seeking to recruit a Fire Engineer to join the fire engineering team based in Nottingham, it is important to note that this is a work from home role so you would not need to be based in the Nottingham area.

This client is an industry leader in providing the complete approach to fire safety. Specialising in providing passive fire protection from project conception, through construction to remedial works. They are experienced across a wide range of industries and building types, this includes hospitality and leisure, healthcare, social housing, education and student accommodation, industrial and commercial.

The client is looking for an experienced and driven fire engineer who will be able to slot into an already busy fire engineering team. As it stands the team are working on over 200 jobs and the engineer would be helping the team achieve excellence in customer service and operations. A candidate with a background in the local fire service would be advantageous but someone who has worked in any kind of fire engineering companies would be ideal. It will be up to you to provide specialist knowledge and information on all areas of fire safety as well as helping with fire strategies for various clients.

You will be working on a 40 hour week Monday to Friday.

Role and responsibilities

  • Design and/or supervise projects
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Preparation of technical and/or progress reports
  • PAS 9980 - appraising the likely fire performance of external walls.
  • Construction of fire surveys
  • Attendance at Client/Design Team Meetings
  • Adherence to the clients compliance and procedures
  • Attendance at formal/informal training courses to maintain competency
  • Working as part of a Team or individually (with supervision)
  • Supporting senior staff in business development activities

Qualifications

  • MSc in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Experience in working in the same or similar environment
