Job Role
You will be working as a Fire Safety Surveyor in the Norwich area of Norfolk, but you will be expected to travel around East Anglia with occasional trips to London as well as some visits to Birmingham.
As the Fire Safety Surveyor you will be responsible for managing the delivery of compliance programs for specific high risk areas and dealing with remedial actions.
You will be identifying and developing capital programmes of work, liaising with client repairs contractors and sub-contractors, supplying property details for Fire Safety related capital work streams, and ensuring all fire safety data from the remedial actions are recorded when complete and that there is regular liaison with Head of Health & Safety with regards to enforcement actions, auditing, continuous improvement and specialist advice.
You will be required to analysis of high volume buildings data and translate it into a building / Construction related project.
You will be the principle contact for fire and safety related advice, and liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders in relation to fire safety eg the fire brigade, fire risk assessors, building contractors, residents, health and safety specialists and residents.
You will have advanced Excel skills for this role as you will be dealing with high volumes of data.
You will have project management ability and experience. You will also have recent experience in planned maintenance works together with an ability to monitor and flag any areas of concern to the senior budget holders.
Person
You will have a qualification in fire engineering or similar qualification to be considered for this role.
You will have experience of working in a social housing environment for a minimum of two years.
You will be able to develop clear and concise reports and explain problems and outline solutions.
You will have experience of working in a similar Fire Safety Role
You must have project management experience in construction / social housing industry.
You will have experience of dealing with budgets.
You will have a full clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
